The 2026 season will see Cublington C.C 1st and 2nd XI playing their Saturday league cricket in the Cherwell league.
The League AGM proposed and accepted applications from eight clubs including a few familiar adversaries in Stewkley Vicarage C. C, Old Bradwell New City C. C and Aston Clinton C. C.
The return to the Cherwell League after an absence of 8 years is a reflection of the Clubs desire to play good quality local cricket on well maintained pitches whilst ensuring games are played in a manner acceptable to an inclusive, family oriented organisation.
In the eight years since we last participated in the Cherwell League the structure has been regionalised in all but the top divisions which has drastically reduced the distance between competing teams. Cublington can now look forward to competing against sides primarily located within a ten mile radius of Aylesbury.
In addition to Saturday league cricket the Club has a long list of Sunday afternoon friendly fixtures against our favourite teams. Though undeniably competitive, these fixtures are a great opportunity for former and new players to enjoy a social game at some terrific local grounds. They also present the ideal stage for young players to transition to senior cricket.
Junior cricket continues to grow at the club and we will be offering a full program of training and games to foster the next generation of players.
Cublington Cricket Club are always looking for new members of all ages and abilities, so if you are interested in joining a friendly and inclusive club with one of the best grounds in the Aylesbury area we’d be delighted to hear from you.
