Webb stars at Cublington pile on the runs!

Pip Webb hit a superb and faultless unbeaten 200 from 97 deliveries for Cublington 1st XI on Saturday away at Great Brickhill. Having won the toss and chosen to bat Cublington found themselves in trouble at 3-2 but Carter (29) and J Rodnight (52) steadied the ship and built the foundations for Sear (50) and Webb to pile on the runs. Cublington declared on 381-5 from 49 overs.

With 10 wickets needed to win the game the Cublington bowlers ran in fast and it was the spin of Sear with 3 wickets who got the game going. Reekes and Fairhurst kept troubling the batsmen but to no avail as Brickhill finished on 176-6 from their 51 overs, over 200 runs short of the Cublington total! Well batted Mr Webb, an innings that has been said by many as 'the best they've ever seen!'
