Liquorice Allsorts

We lost it, we won it, we lost it again, and ended up winning. It says so in the score book. IAS took first knock, and after the skipper was hit for 18 in the first over and Howitzer went for 11 in the second it looked like a long afternoon in the field. Gadsby took two in his second over, one of them sharply taken by Alex Inglis behind the wicket and Howitzer weighed in with another to peg IAS back. The runs continued to come but so did the wickets with Ryan Bullock taking two including an excellent catch by Farr on his seasonal bow. Harvey Knights bowled a tight spell before Cameron Bullock with two and Oscar Middleton with top figures of 3 overs, 2 maidens, 1 for 6 wrapped up the innings.

After the cricketing world's biggest ever tea MIddleton and Bullock R began Cubs response. Ryan fell early but Tim Taylor came in and settled in for the long haul. Inglis, Farr and Gadsby kept him company as he added an unbeaten 59 and the Cubs ran out comfortable winners with four wickets and seven overs to spare.
