A classic Sunday game
Bainesy shows Soulbury what they're missing
We came 2nd but had a very enjoyable game played in great spirit.
Cubs won the toss and elected to field on a green wicket.
The decision looked like the right one as we soon had Soulbury at 45 for 4 including a one handed catch by Munday to get ex Cub Keiron Sier.
Unfortunately that bought skipper Nick Mead and Tim Collins together with Nick getting 102 not out.
A great tea and then in to bat we went losing Vabs on a first baller.
Soulbury were generous with the bowling line up and a very quick 76 from young Baines got us to 241, just 27 runs short of the target.
Charlie Taylor was our 12th man and Soulbury very kindly invited him to have his first bat in a senior side. No nerves shown from Charlie as he charged down the wicket to Keiron Sier to score 1, dot and 4 on the last 3 balls.
A classic Sunday game and great fun.
